History / Why Company Started
Sawatch Steel was founded during the global pandemic of 2020 by a roofing contractor in the Gunnison Valley. As the pandemic created a shortage of metal for the rural, outlying areas of Colorado, Sawatch Steel Supply was born. Crested Butte, the Gunnison Valley and the Western Slope are no longer reliant on Front Range businesses to order, supply and roll standing seam panels. Sawatch Steel is excited to be the number one provider of metal to the beautiful and booming western slope. We look forward to meeting the special needs of Colorado's Mountain towns and their inhabitants.
